Hunter Refractories, Inc. was established in 1983, in Sparks, Nevada by the
principals of Hunter Mining Laboratory, Inc. for the purpose of providing
Cupels for their assay laboratory consumption. Through an 18 month research
and development program, HUNTER brand cupels emerged as the premier
cupel to the assay industry.
Hunter Refractories, Inc. has continued to progress from its inception under
the leadership of husband and wife team, Tom and Christine Martin. Tom and
Christine have brought extensive sales, retail, and management experience
to the company, resulting in the continuous and steady growth of Hunter
Refractories, Inc.
Having outgrown our original manufacturing space in just 5 years, Hunter moved
to its current location in 1988. Hunter currently occupies 12,000 feet of
manufacturing and warehouse space at its Sparks, Nevada location.
Having obtained a secure position in the mining industry marketplace, Hunter
continued its long range expansion objective. This was accomplished by
the opening of our East Coast facility in the spring of 1993.
This facility, located in Holliston, Massachusetts, is operated by Mr.
Jack Brennan. Jack brings to the company 29 years experience in sales
and management of the assay supply and refractory products industries.
The continuation of our long range expansion program includes obtaining
a stronger presence in foreign markets.
Hunter Refractories, Inc. continues to grow and expand, looking forward to
serving our old and new customers in the new millennium.
